So far my experience as a Chemistry Major here at TCNJ can be described as exhilarating. I first arrived at the college in Spring 2010, and so far have loved every minute here. The faculty are friendly, and will not hesitate to have a passing conversation with you in the hallways. My classmates are energetic and studious. The chemistry computer lab is our hangout and place to socialize, but also a place to do work (which happens often). You really start mingling with them outside of class right away. The classes have been challenging and the professors helpful outside of the class if you ever need it.
I have also been able to enjoy several extra curricular activities. I am involved with the Student Chemists Association and Society of Physics Students; where I have been interacting with the community and colleagues in an informative, pleasurable, scientific environment. Also, I have enjoyed time with All College Theatre, a theatre group that puts on shows entirely done by the student body. I have been able to stage-manage the show, 12 Angry Jurors. It was certainly an exhausting, intense week leading up to the show to have everything ready in time for opening night. Just a couple of activities to keep myself busy outside of classes and homework.
Overall, I have had a wonderful experience so far, and I am already sad that I will be graduating in a little over a year.
