Chemistry Alums Receive Awards at Princeton

Two TCNJ chemistry alumni, who are currently graduate students at Princeton University, have been recognized for outstanding achievement. Rob Matunas, who did undergraduate research with Dr. Georgia Arvanitis at TCNJ, received the Merck-Patchett Summer Fellowship.  This award was established by Arthur Patchett, a 1951 Princeton graduate and former vice president at Merck, for outstanding upperdass students in organic chemistry. TCNJ alumnus Mike Lowry, who did undergraduate research with Dr. Jinmo Huang, was one of two students presented with the Wyeth Third-Year Seminar Award for 2005. The Wyeth awards are for outstanding performance and superb seminar presentation, and are given to students by their peers.
